I really don't think I can top this one.
The pig was tender and juicy. The spicing and glaze were perfect. Val ripped it open, and the stuffing poured out, and the smell...oh, God.
And then there was the coconut flan.
Cubans--pork aficionados almost from the time they exit the womb--emerged from the woodwork to help us eat it. They were shaking my hand and asking where they could get the book.
But I'm too tired and full to talk about it right now.
