Plumbing the Depths of Cheese Depravity

Try This

Get yourself a crappy loaf of store white bread in a plastic bag. Put two slices on a plate. Cover one slice with grated sharp cheddar; make it about half an inch deep. Now, go get the SOUR CREAM.

Are you still with me?

Put a big spoonful of sour cream in each quadrant of the cheese. Add salt and pepper. Mash the remaining slice of bread down onto it.

Heat a nonstick skillet up--medium--and add a tablespoon of butter. Smear it around. When it melts and starts to sizzle, plop the sandwich down on it and try to soak up the butter.

Bits of cheese will fall out. Here's the beauty part: you use the sandwich to mop them up! You pick it up and drop it on them, and the cheese sticks to the bread, and you get big blobs of semi-burned cheese stuck to the outside of the sandwich.

After about a minute and a half, turn, add more butter to the skillet, and repeat the process.

YES, it's disgusting. But try it.

You know what? It might be even better with those gross little Durkee fried onions in it. MMMMMMMM. Or a few jalapenos.
