¡Es Lo Mejor!

Man, I scored big-time at the grocery today.

First, I found El Cochinito, the only decent lard available in Miami! This stuff is great, because it has almost no pork smell to it. I don't know why it's not aways available, but when I saw it on the shelf today, I snagged two big cans.

Second, I picked up four more jugs of kosher Coke. Remember when I mentioned that here? Aaron the Ex-Rantblogger told me about it. Over Passover, they make special 2-liters with real cane sugar instead of corn syrup. This is the "kosher for Passover" Coke with the yellow caps. Excellent.

Third, the store had corn shucks today! I can make real tamales now!

On top of that, I picked up a tri-tip roast. I've never had one before, but hardcore barbecuers swear by them, and I was ready for a rest from pork butts. It's really small, but it's supposed to taste great. I'll be smoking that this weekend.

Sometimes life is just too beautiful. All that swag made up for the embarrassment of hitting the register with a six-pack of Milwaukee's Best Ice on top of my cart.
