First Draft of Second Book Done
Hooray for Me and My Love Handles
I just finished the first draft of my second cookbook. I emailed it to Aaron to see if he wants to proofread it.
It's heavier on food and lighter on humor than the first one, but the food is better, so it's not a bad trade.
I should be able to finish the table of contents and so on in a day or two, and I think I'll do a POD with Lulu.com instead of IUniverse, which is really expensive and appears to provide no beneficial services in exchange for the added money.
I've never forgotten the way IUniverse's "helpful" reviewer slammed my first book for not being The Communist Kitchen Manifesto. I actually paid for that "service."
I should make Val Prieto the co-author. How many times have I cooked at his house over the last year? And how many of his ideas did I use? He's a factor in at least three chapters.
Anyhow, expect it shortly. I understand it takes a while to get a book listed at Amazon and so on, but I think I can start selling it almost immediately.
