Looking Forward to a Probe

Am I just the most ridiculous person you ever heard of? I'm all happy right now because my Ebay oscilloscope just arrived.

I noticed that everyone was bidding their ass off on Tektronix scopes, which I suppose are the most popular. But I checked around and read that Hitachi made a nice one for home use, and that it was possible to repair it if it blew up. So I took a chance and bid on a Hitachi no one wanted, and I got it for peanuts.

It turns on and everything. That's encouraging. Now I have to get probes.

It has holes for FOUR probes. What the hell? No way am I buying four probes.

It's HUGE. I think I see why the little Tektronix scopes are so popular. I thought this thing was about the same size, but it's as big as a stereo receiver.

Guess I'll go hook it up to Marv and see what frequency he operates at.
