Tunnel Vision

I Love It

Nobody believes me when I talk about how self-absorbed I am or how I'm truly over political blogging and helping the ungrateful GOP. Well, here's proof. Someone just emailed me about Scott Thomas. And I had no idea who it was.

I'm still not quite sure. Something about phony stories from Iraq, and apparently Mark Steyn is mad at him.

Would this be a bad time to admit I've only read about a paragraph and a half of Mark Steyn's work or that I barely know who he is?

Guess I'll keep that to myself.

More conservative or political sites/people I either never visit or know nothing about:

NRO
Hot Air
The New Republic - They're conservative, right?
Milbloggers. I love them but but I am too lazy to read them.
Instashrum
Pajamas Media
Iraq the Model
Limbaugh's website
Victor Davis ("David"?) Hanson
RealClearPolitics
Mickey Kaus
Red State
Powerline
Andrew Sullivan
Captain's Quarters
Lileks
The Manolo
Michael Ledeen - Hope I spelled that right.
Michael Yon - I think he's a Chinese chef on TV.
Eugene Volokh - No clue.
Vodkapundit
Hugh Hewitt
Ed Driscoll - I have no earthly idea who this person is.
All Liberal Blogs

After four and a half years, I'm still not totally clear on what Slashdot and Metafilter are. I don't know what Gizmodo is about. I never read Gawker. I think Perez Hilton is a fat boring poufter. I think I quit reading Blogcritics in 2004, although I tried to motivate myself to write for them. I never look at Atlas Juggs unless someone sends me an email and says, "You won't believe what that idiot did this time." I always found Buzzmachine boring, and I hate Free Republic and hope Jim Robinson gets a painful disease involving his anus.

Maybe Perez Hilton could help him with that.

I think maybe I should disconnect from the Internet entirely and just blog for myself on a blackboard, with chalk.

Sorry if I did anything to give you the impression that I totally shared every aspect of your frame of reference. I do read Fark and The Drudge Report, so I understand references to them, if you feel like making them. It's probably best if you confine your comments and emails to topics like me and how much you love and admire me. Usually I can relate to those.

To show I'm not totally square, I want everyone to know I found out what "lolcats" are today, and I thought they were so cute, I decided to do one.

Don't look if you love cats.

It was either that or "I'M ON UR HIGHWAY DRAWIN' UR FLIEZ."
