One Problem Solved; New One Begins

The Steel Whale in my Garage

I have solved part of my metal-cutting problem.

It turns out I can stick a $40 metal-cutting blade in my circular saw, and it will work just fine. It will put stress on the saw and shorten its life. However, my circular saw is very crappy and has a street value of approximately 37 cents. So I am not really concerned.

My compressor just arrived.

Okay, this thing is huge. It's like a big green whale standing on its tail. What the hell was I thinking?

Suggestions for lowering a 500-pound object from a 4" pallet without scratching it would be appreciated.
