Pressure on the Way
If I Can do 220, I Can do Anything
I ordered a compressor. Saved a few hundred bucks over the usual low Ebay price, because the manufacturer is having some kind of free-freight promotion. Now I have to cope with getting it into the garage.
Wheeling it in isn't that scary. I have a Home Depot handtruck that will take the weight, and I guess I can manage it if I have someone assist. Getting it off the truck is what sucks. That costs $115, unless I can do it myself.
The local hardware rental has a thing called a Genie Lift. But I looked it up, and the capacity is about 20 pounds too low. And I'd have to pay an all-day rental, because you never know when a freight company is going to show up. I'll bet a good percentage of my ass that rental costs more than the lift truck.
My friend Pat is a reliable guy, and he has a big pickup. He says he'll help out. That would earn him compressor privileges for life. One great thing about Pat; if you lend him something, he won't abuse it. If you want to find out what your friends are made of, lend them your tools.
Anyway, the shopping ordeal is over with. The challenge now is to figure out air tools.
Here's something fun. My editor had a great idea for the cookbook. A way to rate the deadliness of each recipe. I don't want to go into it fully, but it will involve a cleaned-up version of this sketch I just did.
