The Lowest Form of Name-Dropping

Is Ozzy Osbourne REALLY my Friend?

I learned something funny about Myspace. I guess everyone on earth knew it before I did. A fair number of celebrities have Myspace profiles, and you can add them as friends. The hilarious thing about this is, once you get a bunch, you can put them on your "top friends" list so they appear when people look at your profile. And if they don't know any better, they think you're important.

So I decided to add a whole bunch of these people. And I moved most of my non-famous friends off the top friends list. Please forgive me, if you're one of the three or four people who got bumped. If it makes you feel any better, I also bumped David Spade.

For some reason, this strikes me as incredibly funny.

Some of the celebrity profiles are real. Some aren't. For my purposes, it makes no difference. I'd tell you which ones bring me the most joy, but some of these folks specifically ask that their profiles not be "advertised."

I don't think Wee Man or Emo Philips would mind, but some others might.
