Dennis Agrees
Uh Oh
Dennis the Peasant more or less agrees with me: media conservatives are unprofessional. It's a little scary when Dennis thinks you're right. But in the final analysis, it's usually a good sign.
Dennis agrees that liberals own the Blogosphere, and that conservatives are marginalizing themselves with their silly Mickey Mouse antics. And he points out, as I have, that sites like Instapundit and Little Green Footballs wouldn't even make respectable pimples on the backside of web giant The Daily Kos.
Instapundit still has that ridiculous autorefresh embedded in his site. Wonder what his stats would look like without it. I think I'll put one on my site for a few days and see what happens. I've never had an autorefresh, because it's dishonest. But if you admit it's there, and you put it there for fun, I think it's okay.
A while back, Patrick Ruffini pointed something funny out. He said a free Sitemeter account only holds information on a site's last 100 visitors. So if you go to a site's front page, and 100 people come in behind you, and then you look at something else on the same site, Sitemeter thinks you're a new unique visitor. That means a big site with a lot of traffic will get grossly inflated traffic figures. It's funny, but web stats are just like money; the more you have, the easier it is to get more.
It's funny; conservatives out-give liberals by a wide margin; conservatives are normally generous. But media conservatives form guilds and cliques and strangle new talent and responsible dissent. And as a result, we have near-retards representing us to the nation and the world.
Oh, dear. And I have been trying so hard to stop saying "retard."
Anyway, the right-wing Blogosphere is as dead as Pajamas Media's bathrobe.
