Screw EVERYBODY

Fun Show

You missed a hell of a show if you didn't tune Moxie in tonight. She blasted Pajamas Media, Rachel Marsden, Greg Gutfeld, Andrew Breitbart, Captain Ed, Joel Surnow, Manny Coto, Ned Rice, Roger Simon, Glenn Reynolds...throw out a name at random, and she probably gave them hell. And I helped. And Dennis the Peasant called in to remind everyone that Pajamas Media was stolen from him, that it sucks, and that he has no respect for any of the principals.

I was mean to so many people. Courtney the Iraq Expert Friel, Heather Nauert, Bill O'Reilly, Michelle Malkin, Professor Heh, Mary Katharine Ham, Ann Coulter...and all of it needed to be said. The conservative media's bizarre "speak no evil" attitude, combined with a suicidal determination to blackball new talent, is turning Fox News into Comedy Central 2, and I really enjoyed pointing it out. In two or three years, the execs at Fox will either be fired or come out of their coma, and whoever remains will tacitly admit everything we said is true by working to correct it. And no one will remember that I was right. Only that I was irritating.

HA. I'm used to it.

Maybe journalism--on both sides of the spectrum--is screwed up because journalists are so stupid and ordinary. Because journalism is a commodity. A monkey--the same highly versatile monkey I have referred to before in connection with other vocations--can do what most journalists do. There is no talent or brains involved. The trade--I won't call it a profession--attracts mediocrities and subnormals, so it's only natural that the scum rises to the top. In a meritocracy, the quality of your work makes you successful. In a field where everyone sucks, you succeed by licking ass and screwing all possible competitors. I think this explains the current problems at Fox, the existence of PJM and The Huffington Post, the Dan Rather implosion, the state of the liberal establishment media, Joel Surnow's Halfwit News Hour, and Mike Wallace. Only in journalism can a former game show host die respected for his intellect. Only journalism could catapult the sorry likes of Michael Moore, Greta van Susteren, Phil Donahue, and Erin Burnett to the top.

I'm so glad I got off the boat. Bon voyage, idiots. And don't you worry about those icebergs.
