Window Shopping

I know I shouldn't look at stuff like this, knowing how weak I am.

But have you SEEN the Smith & Wesson 1911? Totally sweet. I shot one in LA last week. And the best part: they sell it in nickel. I could find a gunsmith to put mother of pearl grips on it. PIMPTASTIC! After all, it was George Patton (or at least George C. Scott) who said, "Only a pimp from a cheap New Orleans whorehouse would carry a pearl-handled pistol."

I thought it would be fun to have a Colt, but the S&W is supposed to be a better gun, and unless Colt's site is wrong, Colt doesn't offer a Government Model in nickel. I know it's probably not the best defensive weapon on earth--small magazine and all--but that's really not the point.

Fun to dream about.
