Jonah Goldberg: Pulitzer Nominee

Finally, Some Heavy Artillery

I never read blogs, I never read The Corner, and I am too lazy to look at the New York Times Bestseller List. So until a little bird told me, I had no idea Jonah Goldberg's book, Liberal Fascism, was at the top of the list and had been nominated for a Pulitzer!

If you don't have this book already, and judging by the sales figures, you probably do, you really need to buy a copy. I'm not just saying that because Jonah's mom gave me two free ads for my book. I'm saying it because it's a truly remarkable work, which will open your eyes in a way few conservative books could do.

Unlike most people who review books, I refuse to deliver a final opinion until I'm finished, and I still have 125 pages to go. But I can tell you this much: I think Goldberg is going to succeed, honorably and decisively, where Ann Coulter has succeeded only in embarrassing herself and other conservatives and in convincing liberals there is no point in questioning their beliefs. This book is soberly, courteously, and fairly written, yet it cuts to the heart of leftist revisionism. I can't help hoping it shames other conservative (and liberal) authors into doing a better job.

I don't want to get into it too deeply. As I said, I'm not finished, and I'm going to help Moxie with her show shortly, so I have to get going. Anyway, click this link and buy the damn book.
