RE whether Tred Barta is a goof or not, here is an illuminating article from The New York Times.

It has to be true. The Times wouldn't print anything that wasn't totally vetted!

I do admire him for airing his embarrassing moments, which appear to be in ample supply.

I had a crazy idea for a show a while back. I thought it would be great to do a show about a big wuss who learns to do manly things. It would be tremendously entertaining, and I would get free instruction in all sorts of cool stuff.

Of course there is also the possibility that I might die horribly. On camera.
