Shooting Well is Impossible
Due to my Extravagant Technical Requirements
Learned some fascinating stuff today.
Looks like the best place to attach a bipod to a PSL is the receiver. There is an empty space inside it, in front of the magazine. I believe I would have to drill a hole, attach a swivel stud, and attach the bipod thereto. This is supposed to be the most accuracy-neutral place to put the bipod, and it's where the Russians put it on the original Dragunov.
What a pain.
The metal on the receiver is about 1/16" thick, and the space above it is 1/4" deep. So I guess I need a swivel stud with a machine-screw base, and a lock nut to go inside the gun.
And apparently they do not exist.
I hate guns.
